Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme - 13 August 2026
The Anti-Ragging Committee of Government Arts College, Thycaud, organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme titled “Legal Awareness and Prevention of Ragging: Our Campus, Our Responsibility” on 13th August 2026 at the College Auditorium. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Rejani R. Nair, Anti-Ragging Convener, followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. Chribuna Viswas, Principal-in-Charge, who highlighted the importance of discipline, mutual respect, and harmony among students. Mr. Rajamuralee Radhakrishnan, Advocate and Assistant Professor, Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, explained the UGC anti-ragging regulations, legal consequences, reporting mechanisms, and students’ rights and responsibilities. An Anti-Ragging Quiz Competition was conducted at the end of the session, in which all students actively and enthusiastically participated, reinforcing the key messages of the programme. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vineshkumar B, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, respectful, and ragging-free campus.
